Really good fast made sushi rolls. I ordered the salmon and I asked for it cooked. They made it in perfectly thinly wrapped rice rolls. The shrimp tempura was decoratively nice to eat. Sticky rice was enticingly delicious. The miso soup was warm and tasty. Anytime, I will go back.

Sushi was pretty average. Their version of spicy does not mean spicy mayo coupled with sriracha dot. They have some type of spicy ingredient that resembles orange coleslaw that tastes like something out of a jar. Friendly staff, good service. Just did not care for the taste of the sushi. I do not believe the ingredients are fresh daily.

One of my favorite sushi places! Clear soup, tempura of all types and complimentary cucumber salad are perfect accompaniment to fine, delicious fresh sushi of all types. They get a little gimmicky with some of the rolls but the price can't be beat; sometimes if they know your face they'll surprise you with a free roll. They hook you so you keep coming back!! The staff are smiling and hilarious; the joint is as unpretentious as one can get. Please stop by if you're looking for sushi near Baltimore; it'll be your favorite too.

The interior is nice and the staff was okay. Knowing what real fresh sushi is, this place was so-so. Definitely not run by Japanese people. The food was okay, but I do not think I will be back.

I went here for a late Sunday night dinner after hearing it was a new place in town. I have to say, the sushi was impressive! My boyfriend, his roommate and I were looking for a quick but good dinner and tried about 8 different rolls. They were fresh, fantastic and flavorful. After continuing to go to this place, I noticed they put tons of sweet, brown dressing or spicy mayo dressing on almost everything you order. That's fine, but it's kind of cheating because it adds lots of flavor but takes away from the purity and natural flavor of the fish. If you love to order salad before your meal, like me, skip their basic Japanese style salad or opt for a better one. It was $2.50 for just iceburg lettuce and ginger dressing- no carrots, cucumbers or boiled eggs. Wait staff is passive and not very knowledgable about the menu. But management thanks us every time we leave.

Delicious food, excellent service and presentation! Reasonably priced, larger then average sushi portions.

My friend and I tried this on a whim while we were shopping in the area. We both love having fresh sushi. We weren't terribly disappointed. After living in Japan for several years, I have a high expectation of good sushi. The rice was appropriately sticky, however, the flavor was not right. I didn't have any hints of the vinegar that is usually used...which is something I really like. That was my biggest issue. The veggies and fish were fresh tasting and the nori wad crisp not stale. Staff were cordial but not overly friendly...until I dropped money into the tip jar. The waitresses were mostly Chinese. There is at least one Japanese person doing the sushi but I wasnt able to really get to talk to them. The inside was suitably decorated but there was no welcoming when you walked in...as is tradition in Japanese food establishments. The actual bar seating is small and cozy. We ordered to go and only sushi.

Pros: free food! Good prices, good service, very clean Cons: only 2 scallops in my scallop tempura appetizer Went here today for my birthday. Started out by ordering the tempura scallop appetizer and some wine. The wine was only $3 a glass, sweet! The waitress brought us cucumber salads, on the house! When the appetizer came I was a little disappointed to find out that only two of the tempura pieces were actually scallops. If I had wanted vegetable tempura I would have ordered that instead. Lesson learned, I suppose. We ordered three rolls, the pearl roll, sunset roll, and the chef special. When the food came out, we were delighted to find out an Yankee roll had been added for free! Awesome! All of the rolls were delicious. At the end, we also got a free mini cheesecake :) Our server was attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant and bathrooms were incredibly clean. We will definitely be back here again.

This place is great and only a few minutes from my apartment! I have gotten carry out and dined in before. Great experiences with both. Sushi is always fresh and flavorful. Good sized for the price too! They usually throw in a free roll too, which is really nice.

The place was hot. The seats are uncomfortable. It's noisy. Ordered sushi and pork katsu, hot tea. The server was polite and so are the teppanyaki staff. By the time I got the food... I realized this place is a good place to get smashed. The not so special sushi is not bad... The porc katsu is done perfectly... The sake is... Hmm too hot. Pros: staff is super friendly, food is OK, drink is soso. The fried bananas awesome. The restrooms are clean Con's: need new thermostat, it's noisy... But could be fixed by just just elevating the dining area. Uncomfortable seats. I would definitely come again after they renovate. It's a perfect place to drink some sake with friends. You definitely need the sake if you dine here.

Hubby and I both were craving sushi so we made the drive to Annapolis. Instead of hitting up one of the downtown spots, we found this place and hesitantly gave it a try. OMG. So good! We had the dinosaur egg for an appetizer and decided to split the Love Boat (15 pcs of sashimi, 15 pcs of sushi, choice of 2 rolls). The love boat came with miso soup and salad with ginger dressing. The sushi arrived at our table when we were finished our soup/salad. Everything was delicious. The Love Boat comes with a complementary piece of Green Tea Cheesecake which is fabulous. We'll make the drive up again just for Yama Sushi.

Yama's is my go-to sushi bar. I never sit and eat inside of this location even though its 10 minutes away from me (I sit in at the Annapolis location) however the sushi is always exception and compared to other sushi places I've been its way better then the rest. I would recommend Yama's to all.

We used to go to Yama up in Baltimore but we moved to aa county and we're happy to see they opened one closer to home. Sushi is always good and we get a free roll most of the time when we order 2 entrees. Best sushi we've found around here.

Ordered carryout the other night. Ordered the Salad Roll, the Earthquake Roll, Yellowtail sashimi, and Gyoza for my boyfriend and I to share. They threw in half of a Chef's Special Roll. It all came to just over $30 WITH tax! The food was good. Fish was fresh. Gyoza was lightly fried and there were 8 in an appetizer portion. The best roll, we thought, was the chef's special. They're still waiting on their liquor license.

Found this little place and absolutely enjoy eating here. We came from California and have been looking for somewhere to eat some good sushi. This is it. Place is clean. Staff is friendly and food is great. The presentation of the food is awesome. Only odd thing is the "sweet tea" is actually brisk lemon tea.

This is our new go to sushi bar. They have a lot to choose from. If sushi isn't your thing they have other food to eat. My kids like the chicken teriyaki. My favorite sushi roll is the spicy beach. They also give you a roll on the house. It is usually really good. It is a nice and quiet atmosphere. I highly recommend it. Also reasonably priced. Thanks for looking.

Hands down best Sushi here in the DMV, call me crazy. From there miso soup to the signature sushi, all is all impeccable. Service is almost too good, not to the point where you feel rushed but you will always have you glass full and your table pre-bussed. Top notch!

Very kind people here. Miso soup is real. sushi quality is superb and fresh. Ike to come back here again.

Been here twice and frankly was not impressed either time. Service while friendly is spotty at best. Can't keep drinks filled? Asked for menu to order more rolls. Waitress decides to go clean table and take order for other table before bringing menu. Really? The rolls were not bad but not really special either. We received a free roll with our meal but considering what they charged for the other rolls, so what. I really wish I could find a better place for sushi in the Glen Burnie area.

I used to go into Annapolis, to either Nano or Joss, for Sushi. I assumed they were the best because of the area they were located. However I never felt satisfied with the quality of product I got there. I'm not saying it wasn't good, just very overpriced. Also the parking arrangement in DTA can be chaotic depending on when the hunger for sushi hits you. So I ventured around to other places and came finally across Yama Sushi fall of 2014. Will get a shout out to Yelp because if it wasn't for this site I wouldn't really have stumbled upon it on my own, also thank you fellow reviewers for pointing me in a great direction. Now let me tell you the greatness which is Yama sushi. First off the hostesses and waitresses are super polite and very soft spoken. I mention this because I have been to other places where they communicate exclusively through yelling. Also I've been in there right before they close (yeah I am that guy) and the waitresses and staff were very cheerful and didn't give off a pissy vibe. Second, the rumors and comments on here about free appetizers and rolls are true but I think it is based off of two things. I think if they like you and you order a certain amount of food they will bring you free treats. I've gotten cucumber salad, some awesome free rolls and cheesecake cubes for free there but I think it is because I have the appetite of high school football team. Therefore, I wouldn't go there expecting anything free but if you do get something show some love on that tip. Now when I go there I set the mood right off the bat with one of those artillery round-looking Sapporos. If you had it before you will know what I mean, it comes in a beer can that when empty could still support the weight off a full grown man. From there I get miso soup and edamame, more often than not a cucumber salad will appear too. Both are delicious, miso soup isn't too salty and the edamame isn't scalding hot, nor soaked and mushy. From there I always order 4 avocados rolls because as funny as it may sound, they are one of the harder rolls in my opinion. I say that because, not only in the past 5 years have avocados become a food people love but the demand is through the roof. I've had many avocado rolls and more often than not the avocado part is browning or way too soft. This is not the case at Yama, they are on point hence why I order so many. I've had most of the fish rolls there, anything tuna is good as well as the salmon rolls. My lady gets fried rolls which she always loves. I am trying to try all the rolls but am a huge fan of the spicy beach (will edit this later if I got the name wrong) and lover rolls. I am not huge on cream cheese or oysters so I have tried any of those but for what I have had it has been great. The free roll they bring you (if you are one of the lucky ones) ends up being one of the best. It has shredded seaweed and fish eggs on top and I believe crab in the middle. Overall I am giving Yama 5 stars because the service is great, I've never had a dirty table, the food is always great (sidenote they are quick I've had dinners there with a party of 4 in under 45 minutes, drinks, appetizers, dinner, etc..) and the mood is also relaxing. It is a great date night place because the atmosphere is very chill, fainting music playing in the background and just a great vibe. If you live in the area and think you need to go into Baltimore or Annapolis for great sushi trust me, don't waste your time. Yama well more than satisfy your sushi cravings.

Went here after our regular sushi bar was closed, and was so happy to discover another great sushi place in town. We started with edameme before ordering so much sushi, you practically had to roll us out of there. We had the rainbow roll, spicy tuna, salmon roe and eels rolls - among some others. Each was made perfectly, and the service was awesome. The price was just right as well. Like another reviewer there was a free roll with our order, and it was a nice touch. Definitely recommend!

  • Kyle J.

Cucumber salad is delicious. Rolls are small to medium sized - not overly packed with rice. Sushi is overall better than Sakura, on par with Ra, not quite as good as Sticky Rice. Fish was fresh and flavorful.

  • Kim T.

Delicious, fresh, and fast! We started with shumai...yummy! Decided on three rolls and were pleasantly surprised when the waitress brought us a platter of four rolls. The salad roll was on the house and so good. I'm definitely ordering that next time. Can't wait to return!

One of the best sushi places I have been in the area! Everything was delicious and we even got a roll on the house.

Being new to the area, I'm VERY pleased with my experience here! I came around 6PM on a Sunday and I was the only person in the place for a good half hour until the dinner crowd started rolling in. I was greeted happily by hostesses and the sushi chefs which set the tone. I was quite hungry so I ordered the miso soup, house salad with ginger dressing, edamame, the Rainbow specialty roll (California roll topped with salmon, tuna and whitefish), tako (octopus) and some hot green tea. Everything was fabulous! The food was so fresh and flavorful and of course the presentation made things so much better. The chefs even gave me a free roll on the house and I graciously gulped the whole thing :) for all of this food at dinner time, it was modestly priced at $24 so I was a happy camper. The only downside I noticed is that they are still in the process of obtaining/renewing their liquor license, so no sake at this time. Hopefully their license will be reinstated soon. I will definitely be back!

What a find! The food is DELICIOUS! So fresh and beautifully displayed. The service was amazing, we never wanted for a thing. Try the Rainbow juice ( non-alcoholic but delicious) and the Red Moon Roll, we had 2. Just incredible, we will be back!!!

So happy to make this my first Yelp review, as this is one of our favorite places to eat! Have been here several times with the family, and even a couple of times by myself at lunchtime, and have never been disappointed. Doesn't matter if it's during lunchtime, early dinner, or peak dinner time, service is always wonderful, and the sushi keeps bringing us back!

So delicious!! The sushi is fantastic and so fresh! Dinosaur egg is a must!!! We will be back! Everyone was so friendly!!! Love!

Teriyaki scallops tasted like rubber. Completely inedible. Have you ever had sushi so bad you can't even eat the seaweed? I hadn't until today. Not an experience I would want to wish on anyone. My food was clearly reheated in the microwave. The sound of it dinging accented the music.

  • Brady B.

What can't I say about this place that isn't good. When you first walk In your greeted by relaxing music and a quiet atmosphere which is really soothing. And speaking of the atmosphere, I would expect this place to be busy at the time we came in (dinner time) but every time I'm in here it's just one or two tables. Don't let this fool you to believe they are a sub par restaurant. It's a combination of location and pallet. For one I wouldn't even know where they were had I not known someone who had eaten there. This makes it difficult for people to really spot this place. The second reason is the American pallet is not used to the cultural diffusion which offers sushi. Whenever I try to bring someone here it's not the restaurant itself but that Americans simply are not welcoming to sushi. For all the non believers out there just give this place a try because they simply make art here literally look at what was brought out to me bellow a beautiful creation that was not only lovely but delicious.

Really good, fresh, reasonably priced sushi. Best in the Glen Burnie/Pasadena area. My wife and I have made this a Friday night tradition and we've never had something we didn't like. Great customer service as well - we usually have a big order and they throw in a roll on the house.

Decided to stop there after work today. I wasn't sure what I was going to get. I ordered the whole BBQ squid and 3 sushi rolls. As of was waiting I got a complimentary cucumber salad that was delicious. The BBQ squid was tender and good. They then brought out a beautiful plate of sushi that had extra. The waitress told me that I had an additional roll on the house. As I was admiring the beautiful plate I realized that it was a plain white plate that they decorated with different sauces, fish roe, and veggies. I didn't want to eat it because it looked so pretty! Well I finally tasted it and was in heaven! It was by far the best sushi I've had, and that's saying a lot. My friends call me a sushi snob. I packed more than half of it to go and as I received my check I also got a free sample of cheesecake. After I paid I thanked them and told them that I had just moved out here but would be back! Can't wait to bring my family here.

The sushi was fantastic, especially the Pink Dragon roll. Our waitress was prompt and very nice. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, with plenty of space even if it was packed. We received an appetizer, a roll, and a desert on the house, which was an unexpected treat. Definitely plan to go back soon.

Great rolls, very fresh and tasty. I like that they also threw in a roll on the house... And mainly because it was delicious. I typically never do a California roll, but their version of it is called a Hollywood Roll and it was quite good. The Florida roll was refreshing as well. A nice sushi spot if you're in the area...

The service is slow most times but the rolls are what you'd expect. Nothing special but it was good for the area.

  • Mandy S.

The food here is great, this has become our go to sushi spot in the area. Love trying the free rolls, we have gotten some really great ones we may not ordinarily try, like the Yankee roll and spicy girl roll. We mainly carry out but when we do eat in, the staff is always so nice and polite. Everyone is super friendly and we have never had a bad meal. Only wish they delivered! !

This is the first sushi experience I've had where I didn't want to vomit after the first bite. The Cali rolls were flavorful and had a great construction and texture. The Crazy Volcano was superb! And the server was so nice and mild mannered! A great time all around. AND the atmosphere was lovely... Very peaceful...

  • Marcus D.

Honestly not sure how they rated so high. 1. Not on map location, further north. 2. Tempura batter was thick like waffle mix. 3. Service was excellent! 4. Fish was fresh. 5. Bland ginger, spicy mayo isn't mayo or spicy; like bean curd with honey. 6. Likely not to come back. Nothing really popped for me. Lacking flavor in both rolls, disappointed.

Originally came to GB for Mission BBQ, but when the line was out the door, hubby and I consulted Yelp. Chose to try this place out based on the reviews alone. They were right! Cute little restaurant, clean, and cozy. Our server was very nice and perfectly attentive. While we waited for our sushi, she gave us this little plate of cucumber salad which was delicious! When the sushi arrived, we were informed that the chef had made us an extra roll on the house. Awesome! Thanks, sushi chef!!! Everything we tasted was fresh and delicious. Better yet, we got 7 speciality rolls and two drinks for 78 bucks including tax. Normally the same order at Fuji in Gambrills costs over $100. We will definitely return!

Very pleasantly surprised. Went for lunch earlier this week with friends and had really good sushi for a great price with their lunch box menu. Decided to go back for dinner with the family and my wife couldn't get enough of the dream roll. Great food, service, and price. Looking forward to going back soon.

This is a great spot for the price and quality. Somewhat shocking actually because I yet to have a great sushi in Baltimore city. Service is quick and pleasant, not to say the random free rolls that make you stuffed like a thanksgiving turkey with a great smile! (Who refuses free sushi?)

This is my FAVORITE sushi place. The service is phenomenal and so is the food. The atmosphere and decor are clean and the staff is always pleasant and helpful. The potions are generous and I never leave here hungry. Yama Sushi Bar is one of my favorite restaurants!

Probably one of the best choices you are going to have around the Glen Burnie are for cheap sushi. They always give you a free roll if you order a certain amount of sushi, which is really cool of them. Definitely worth the price.

Sushi and items on the menu was very delicious! The staff was nice, and well trained! The restaurant was clean and pleasant to be in! A really nice place to eat in! Recommend going this place.

Our favorite sushi bar in Glen Burnie! Excellent roll combinations, reasonably priced, with a welcoming staff. We haven't had a bad experience with any of the food yet, and I'm not sure if it is because we are weekly customers but every time we go in they seem to give us a complimentary roll. Waiting staff can be a little hit or miss with taking orders and keeping your drinks filled, but just a little. I like the overall design of the interior, the brand new wood furniture smell is gone - that's a plus. After trying all the other sushi bars within a 10 mile radius we safely have made Yama our go to!

  • Emily K.

I realllllly wanted to like this place. The decor was cute, the employees were nice, I was seated immediately and everything was done in a timely manner. However, the whole reason I went was obviously, for the sushi -- which just wasn't that great. I ordered the "dream roll" which consisted of salmon, avocado, and crab as well as a spicy tuna handroll. The sushi itself just seemed bland to me. I can't even say it wasn't made fresh, because the cooks were right behind the bar, making it. I knew it was fresh. The taste itself just wasn't cutting it for me. It honestly just seemed like a big roll of rice, I could whip those together at home. Maybe I just got unlucky with the roll I ordered, I'm sure they have better ones. I'll consider going back and giving them a second chance, and update my review accordingly. For now though, I'm sticking with 3 stars.

What a great find! This restaurant's sushi is always expertly and quickly prepared. Frequently I chose a sashimi platter and the fish always tastes extremely fresh and cool. Not to be missed are their amazing lunch deals such as two rolls for $8 with miso, a salad, and two shrimp dim sum. Delicious, quick and friendly this restaurant (and its sister location in Baltimore city) give excellent value and presentation for a sushi restaurant.

This will be my go to spot for sushi lunch. I have to give it give stars for the value. For the price it can't be beat. We had three lunch specials for under $30 and they gave us a special roll on the house. The place is clean and the bathrooms are spotless. Hopefully it will stay this way because that sets it apart from other GB establishments. Overall a nice and cozy place for sushi with the family. :)

Ordered to go Sushi & sashimi regular which is 6- pieces sushi "fish on top of rice" 8- pieces sashimi W/tuna or spicy roll She said 10min and it was done that fast. I had to sneak a roll in the car which had rice on the outside and Tuna inside Not much to say you order they prepare and you leave. But I like the nigeri sushi which has fish on top of the rice and she didn't understand what I was looking for so this will do I got plenty of rice at home in the rice cooker to fix the sashimi. When I looked at the sushi it is on top of rice which some places call it "Nigeri". 4 stars because food is prepared well for the "to go" orders, great flavored miso soup/fresh fish. looking at the menu "A La Carte" they do have the sushi or nigeri I like which gives you 3 pieces instead of the normal 2 pieces (which is more expensive each), and convenient location.

Lunch prices are reasonable. I love their 2 roll/soup/ salad (not a great salad- I didn't eat it) and it came with 2 little shumai (love it). Pretty inside, good service - although I've only had take out. SO TASTY!

I went to Yama for my first time the other day and loved it! The sushi was exceptionally good as well as the cucumber salad. It was very different, but delicious! They even gave us a roll on the house. On the other hand the tempura shrimp was okay, but overall I was very impressed! :) ...the service was good as well!

  • Steve S.

Yama Sushi was such a pleasant and wonderful experience. We started with classic Miso soup that was delicious, and split the pan fried dumplings so light and delicious. I had the rainbow roll which was delicious, and my companion had a California roll and spicy tuna roll. The most awesome surprise came when they allowed us to sample their salad roll which was this wonderful tempura shrimp and multiple fish roll with a delicious seaweed salad on top, absolutely delightful and all in Glen Burnie no less...priced really well for Sushi also...you should definitely check it out.

First time here and I am very impressed. Walked in on Saturday around noon and no other customers were here. We got a free roll on the house which was delicious. All other 3 rolls were delicious as well. Ordered Gyoza and salmon tartar which was delicious as well

Okay, I've been to many restaurants in my life, but this one gets as good as it gets. Great service? Here. Good quality food? You bet. Awesome place to dine? Of course, this is the best restaurant I've ever been to! The interior is beautifully decorated, with plush sofa-like chairs to sit on. But the best part is the food itself (duh), you have a wide myriad of selections to choose from, from sushi to teriyaki. The food is made with great effort put into it, trust me, I can tell, and best of all, it tastes delicious! I recommend going here to dine, everything's great here!!!

Having grown up in California - I've struggled to find a really good, reasonably priced Sushi place here. After 12 years going to some mediocre ones... we stumbled across Yama via Yelp. We've ordered take out twice and this past Sunday we ate in the restaurant with family. Here is the short of it - really hospitable and pleasant staff, awsome fresh sushi with an elegant presentation, and restaurant is spotless. Don't judge this restaurant for being in the parking lot of strip mall... it is excellent.

We have been here three times now and customer service is always great. They are very nice and prompt. Rolls are pretty good but sashimi is smaller than other places we've been to. Love the salad roll and they usually will give you an extra roll on the house! Also very accommodating with substitutions.

Been here at least twice both times the food was really good. My meal came with miso soup and a salad with ginger dressing which was good. Ordered a lot of food so they threw in a free sushi roll for us which was super nice! Good customer service. I would highly recommend the Volcano sushi roll.

My boyfriend and I spontaneously decided to get some carryout here after going to ShopRite. This little place really exceeded my expectations. They have a huge selection of special rolls and many different types of fish. I got a couple special rolls and he got a sushi special. We were both so impressed by the quality and taste of the fish. His salmon and tuna hand rolls were especially amazing. Really high quality stuff. They also gave us a free roll because our order was on the bigger size/maybe because they're relatively new and trying to drum up business. It was great. Even though we got carryout, I could see that the dining area was really nice. The hostess who was running the carryouts was really friendly and welcoming. It's really nice to have another sushi option in the area, especially one that's so delicious.

By far the best sushi place in town. Stopped in on their grand opening and ordered a couple rolls to test the waters. Everything was fresh and the presentation was beautiful. I've since been back 3 times and of the 15-20 rolls I've had there, I've never had a bad one. Everything with tuna is delicious and there rolls with seaweed salad is outstanding. The miso soup is pretty standard but very good nonetheless. The best part is they always throw in a roll on the house! Great customer service! The true test is whether they stay fresh and the quality remains top notch over time. I hope so because this place is awesome!

Great little sushi place! Been there twice so far and the second time was even better than the first. Got a Red Devil roll which was SUPER YUMMY! Seriously, go try it. It's too good to pass up. I also had the Yaki Soba noodle dish. Stir fry chicken with noodles and veggies. Standard and tasty. The waitress even threw in a free roll for our table to try. Think it was called the All Star roll, pretty good. It's quiet and local, right up my alley for a quick dinner. This location is currently applying for its liquor license, just FYI in case you were thinking of trying to order a Sapporo. Can't get it yet but they should have it eventually.

Amazing! By far the best in town. Tried their shrimp tempura, california and various sashimi rolls and they were all on point. Fresh and very tasty. However, their lunch box portion was a bit small but I guess its right for the price!

I am so happy Yama opened here in Glen Burnie. Their Annapolis location is still the best but this was a very close comparison. They recently opened at this location and were friendly and got our food out to us pretty fast. The sushi was fresh and delicious! If you are looking for affordable and tasty sushi, this will satisfy! As of right now they are awaiting a liquor license it appears.

Good customer service, clean and new establishment. Don't be scared off by the emptier seating, seems like a lot of people order take out here. They've been giving a free sushi roll whether you dine in or take out. Sushi was great for the price and tasted fresher and better (in my opinion) than the local sushi places in the Glen Burnie area. Recommend the following rolls: Asahi, Spiderman III, All Star, Red Devil. The Tuna Tataki appetizer was also good. I didn't like these because they just tasted like fried batter more than rice and fish: Red Moon and Spicy Volcano. Would definitely try again!

Pretty good sushi. The pieces are somewhat small, that's why they only get 4 stars. Quality is good. The yelp map is incorrect, their location is further north on Ritchie Hwy in the Best Buy mall toward the NW corner.

Yama sushi is located in the BestBuy shopping center across from the ShopRite. I frequent this shopping center for the ShopRite hot bar, but that is a different review. The restaurant is completely brand new. Everything is extremely clean including the bathrooms and kitchen.. I took a peek in the back on the way out. I dined in and was the only customer the entire time i was there although a few people stopped in and grabbed menus. I ordered the Yama Lunch Box special which was $7.95 and it came with two verities of my choice(Spicy tuna roll and chicken teriyaki), soup, salad and two fried dumplings. When I was finished with my meal they also gave me a Candy Cane Roll on the house which was really really good. ...... Also i mentioned to them that I work not to far from there and that I would bring my co workers back if it was good. So I am assuming that is why they hooked me up. The only other sushi in the area is at ShopRite and that is mediocre. I will defiently be going back

The sushi here is fresh, delicious and very reasonably priced! Fast and friendly service too. Will definitely be coming back as this place is going to be beating out the other sushi spots in the area.

My wife and I were engaged in a Sushi Restaurant in Annapolis, so I think it is safe to say that we like sushi! We too decided to be spontaneous and try Yama Sushi when going to get groceries at Shop Rite. The reviews below were very helpful! Everything (positive) that everyone said is true. The restaurant is new, several months old now, but impressively clean. We went on a Thursday night, and there were only 2 tables of people seated when we arrived. When we left, there were 3 new tables of people seated, so it would seem that business is picking up based on the reviews below. I couldn't tell you how many carry out orders were placed and picked up while we were there. We consider ourselves to be very reserved about the places we go for sushi, and "strip mall sushi" is not in our norm. The sushi was exceptionally fresh and tasty! We had miso soup, 6 maki style sushi rolls and 2 Nigiri style sushi and EVERYTHING was excellent! We tend to go back to Annapolis for sushi when we have our cravings because we did not feel that ANY sushi in the Glen Burnie area was worth the money. Now that we have eaten at Yama, we don't feel that way any longer! We will be going back to Yama for good local sushi!

Nice spot for sushi in GB. The staff was great and the resturant was clean. We found the prices to be pretty good compared to other places. Everything we ordered was great. The sushi display was nice too. They even brought us out a specialty roll on the house. They get it!...and we will be back.

My mom and I go here for lunch regularly! It's amazing and very affordable. Their lunchbox special is available until 2:30 and it's $8 for two rolls, sushi, or kitchen items, plus soup and salad. Highly recommended.

Great little sushi place, especially for Glen Burnie! Don't let the 'shopping center' atmosphere fool you, this place is great! Very large menu w/ a creative selection, the staff is friendly and helpful. I will certainly go again!

Best sushi in the area. Very fresh fish, attentive service and very quiet. I highly recommend the salad roll, chefs special roll, and the beautiful roll.
